The forgotten
This program is near and dear to our hearts. We first visited the local assisted living facility when we first started the ministry. We instantly fell in love with the vintage souls that call this place home. There are times when the facility is need of assistance and we love to help when we can. There are times when they need food such as the basic rice and beans. There are times when they need other types of food like cereal, chicken, soups, and vegetables. They are often in need of adult diapers and things like lotion and hand sanitizer as well. We like to help as often as possible and would love to make it a full-time thing where we can make an offering every month. One of the biggest things they need and one of our favorite things to give is love. A little conversation and a hug or just sit and watch TV. The men want to watch sports and the ladies are like all ladies at their age they want to watch their stories. Some of the people have families that visit when they can and there are some who have no families or anyone that comes to visit them. We can’t forget the ones who came before us for they are the ones who can keep us from making mistakes and keep out histories alive.
